Captain Chesson O'Briant

The joy I find in fishing is usually referred to as an obsession by those who know or have been fishing with me. My families boat sales and service company, Emerald Marine, has only fueled the fire. For the past 18 years, the bulk of my fishing experience has been pounding the rocks within 20 miles of Bogue Inlet, pursuing primarly king mackerel, but often bottom fishing as well. I took a break long enough to go to college at Duke University, where I earned a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Marine Science. Since, my fishing crew, The Emerald Marine Fishing Team, has been very successful in the SKA tournament trail.
